Our Christian Foundation

We have forgotten God. We have forgotten the gracious hand which preserved us in peace and multiplied and enriched and strengthened us, and we have vainly imagined, in the deceitfulness of our hearts, that all these blessings were produced by some superior wisdom and virtue of our own. Abraham Lincoln

My people are destroyed from lack of knowledge. Hosea 4 : 6

Know Our History

Years before I was born again into the kingdom of heaven by the grace and truth given to us through our Creator’s Son, I declared to a couple of work colleagues that I wanted to know where the evil in Washington DC was coming from. And, while I was learning about the various groups that have been doing our nation great harm, I was also blessed with learning about Our Christian Foundation primarily through the work of award-winning educator and historian David Barton. I don't think there is another historian in America that has done more to shed light on Our Christian Foundation than he. I am happy to share with you David Barton’s eight-part video series called The American Heritage Collection available online through EncourageTV. I hope this video series blesses you as much as it has blessed me.

George Washington

It affords edifying prospects, indeed, to see Christians of different denominations dwell together in more charity, and conduct themselves in respect to each other with a more Christian-like spirit, than ever they have done in any former age, or in any other nation.

August 19, 1789 Letter to the Protestant Episcopal Church

If anyone should say: “We don’t have a Christian Foundation,” say to them: “Oh, but we do!” Then share with them the video links above and the document links below so they too can see the truth about Our Christian Foundation. And, if you haven’t already done so, don’t forget to read The Bible for yourself. It not only helped shape this nation worth saving, it also teaches us about our Creator and His desires toward us. If I hadn’t purposefully read it myself after having been shamed by a quote from John Quincy Adams for not knowing The Bible, I would not have been saved and this informative website would not have been made.

JOHN QUINCY ADAMS

And with regard to the History contained in the Bible... it is not so much praise-worthy to be acquainted with it, as it is shameful to be ignorant of it.

— Sixth U.S. President, September 29, 1811 Letter to George Washington Adams

Founding Documents

JOHN JAY

Providence has given to our people the choice of their rulers, and it is the duty, as well as the privilege and interest, of our Christian nation to select and prefer Christians for their rulers.

Additional Writings

ALEXIS DE TOCQUEVILLE

Moreover, almost all the sects of the United States are comprised within the great unity of Christianity, and Christian morality is everywhere the same. ... There is no country in the whole world in which the Christian religion retains a greater influence over the souls of men than in America and there can be no greater proof of its utility, and of its conformity to human nature, than that its influence is most powerfully felt over the most enlightened and free nation of the earth.

In Closing

I hope this website and the content it links to blesses you as much as it has me. And, when you begin to read The Bible to know it yourself, don’t forget to ask for help from above. Our Creator is a rewarder of those who believe He Exists and diligently seek Him in humility.†

Sincerely,
Aviel Of The Way

Thomas Jefferson

Had the doctrines of Jesus been preached always as pure as they come from His lips, the whole civilized world would now have been Christian.
